Celebrating love for a second time this summer

The second wedding of my summer happened this last weekend. This wedding was closer to home, which was both nice and convenient, especially in the early morning when I headed home bursting with happy thoughts but tired to the bones.
So, the wedding was my name-twins wedding to her boyfriend of ten years, Max. Linn and I got to know each other four years ago while working at a kiosk in Stockholm. It was her and me and Jeanette that worked together and stayed together even after we all stopped working at Pressbyrån. The wedding was wonderfully beautiful, and it always amazes me how much two peoples love for each other can affect so many other peoples lives. Seeing them standing up there in the church, kind of twisting and turning, giving each other small pushes, high fiving each other and looking happier than ever- it just makes my heart skip a beat. That friendly joking with each other, that look they give each other, those smiles that burst through their faces when the ceremony was over- it´s just a wow feeling for everyone involved. And it gives you courage, courage to think and hope that someday your friends will sit in the audience of your wedding and feel what you feel when you watch this beautiful, amazing scene.
After the wedding ceremony, we went to a different location to celebrate the newlyweds, have dinner and drinks, dance and mingle. And oh how we danced. We danced for so long, and sang along to so many songs, that both my feets (even though I was wearing comfortable shoes) and my voice was more than dead when I eventually headed home. But even though my feet felt ten times bigger, and my voice cracked at the break of dawn, I was stunned about the amazing day and night I had.

Thank you Linn and Max for letting me, and everyone else that attended your wedding, be a part of this day and night and your love. Thank you for being my friend, and thank you for showing me what real love looks like. And thank you for being wonderfully beautiful in every possible way.
