Homesick for New York and celebrating love

I have been home for more than a month now. And things have not really gone as planned. I´ve been having troubles adjusting to coming back, troubles adjusting to being back here where everything is like it was when I left but also everything has changed. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night thinking it was all a dream because that is kind of how the entire New York time feels like right now. A long, lovely dream. I know it wasn´t just a dream, but it´s hard to comprehend it when I´m not there anymore. I miss it. I miss the people I left there. I miss the New York vibes. Miss the air. Miss the feeling of being anywhere but home. I am also happy I´m home. Happy I am back with my friends and family here. But it´s hard, and I believe it will continue being hard. My body is in conflict with itself. And I just don´t know what to do with myself sometimes. I hope it will get better. Easier.

We went up north in Sweden in the beginning of July to go to close friends wedding. They, Anna and Sebastian, are both from Östersund, so that´s where they held the wedding. My friend crew drove the entire way, which is a seven-hour trip. The road trip was a blast, even though it was long, and we listened to a lot of great (also some not so great) tunes and sang along, laughing and talking. It may, or may not, have been some weird Snapchat photos and videos going around as well. Some of you will never know.
Anyway, we arrived in Östersund pretty early in the evening, but we were all exhausted from the trip so we almost went immediately to bed for a good nights sleep. In the morning we had a lovely breakfast with the bride and then we had some time to kill before the wedding would start at 3 pm. Some of us played a music game that plays every Saturday morning on the radio, and some of us (meaning me) took a long shower and started to get ready for the wedding. Then we had a small lunch at a cute restaurant and after that, we got ready to go and see the wedding ceremony.
Anna and Sebastian had a beautiful, traditional ceremony in a church with all their friends and family. They were both so stunningly beautiful and looked so happy and in love the entire time. And afterward, they had arranged for a bus to bring us to where the dinner and party would happen. The dinner was amazing (they had cooked everything by themselves with help from their families), and a lot of people held beautiful speeches. I cried. A lot. And laughed. A lot. And then we danced. All night long. Until we went home to the hotel at around 5.15 am and after a bit of a fuzz with the cab driver, we went to sleep at 6 am.

So, it was an absolutely amazing weekend, with love surrounding every person and corner, and I am so happy that I could be a part of it. I haven´t been to a lot of weddings, yet, but this is by far the best one I ever attended. So thank you, Anna and Sebastian, thank you for meeting each other on that boat that weekend in September 2015, thank you for falling in love, and most of all thank you for letting us be a part of your love. And thank you to all of my friends that made that weekend one of the best ones ever. I love you.

And here comes a bomb of pictures, enjoy!
